ACE has today announced the appointment of Laurent Hoquet to the position of Energy Manager for Continental Europe and Central and Eastern Europe.
Laurent will report to both Gilbert Flepp, Energy and Technical Lines Manager for ACE in Continental Europe and Matthew Hardy, Global Head of Onshore Energy Underwriting. He will be based in ACE’s Paris office and have responsibility for the strategic direction of the company’s energy, oil and gas line of business across the CE and CEE region.
Laurent joins ACE from Chartis where he was previously Profit Centre Manager for the Global Energy Property Department in Paris. He managed the Chartis energy and construction portfolio across 12 countries in Southern Europe. Prior to this he held positions at Partner Re and SCOR and he has over 20 years experience of the insurance and energy markets.
